{ Sweet Allie Cat }

Let me just begin my saying that I think Heather (Mom) is such a sweet, sweet, smart girl NOW, but when she first contacted me months ago, I kinda wondered about her sanity. I say that in the nicest possible way, of course.;)With saying that, I must explain myself. Heather contacted me regarding booking me for 4 sessions plus a wedding. huh? I had never met her, never worked with her. So, you can see where I was coming from wondering if she was for real?!? Even after several emails/ phone calls back and forth, I still wondered. Once I met her, all those feelings were easily put aside. She is one of the kindest, cutest, friendliest clients, now friend, that I have ever met. At the time, she was 7 months pregnant and just adorable.
Heather and her equally sweet husband, Josh, got married last year. Josh is in the military. This summer, they wanted a small ceremony for close friends and family. Heather wanted to book me for a maternity and a newborn session. Well, since Heather had joined Josh back home in Hawaii, little Miss Allie didn’t wait for them to get back here for the maternity session. I got to meet her last week for her newbie session, which she totally rocked. Not surprised since she I know her Mom now.:)Anyway, here is Miss Allie, affectionately known as Allie Cat’s debut on my blog. I have a sneaking feeling that I will get to play with her every time they come home. yay for me! … and for YOU to see this little doll! Little Allie was an unusually AWESOME little subject. Don’t get me wrong, ALL of my babies are awesome, but usually they require a bit of coaxing/snuggling/rocking/feeding/fighting, etc. I think I have shot close to 50 babies now. So, I’ve gotten my routine down pretty good. Little Allie didn’t need ANY of that. Mom must have followed my newbie directions that I sent her because this sweet girl was like putty. Seriously, I ran out of ideas. That’s where having an assistant would have been great… more ideas!:)
Yes, another extended sneak peek. Yes, I am behind on editing and blogging, but since this sweet family is leaving soon, I skipped them ahead. Please rest assured that I am diligently working on everyone else’s. I have a system now that all of my rugrats are back in school.;)Oh, I added a tiny peak at their rainy wedding last night. Tonight, I am going to shoot their engagement session. Yep, headed to Jax beach where Josh proposed. Then, family session with them on the farm on Wednesday morning. SO, you will see lots of them in the next few weeks, but in their correct “turn.” Oh, and to make up for not having a maternity shoot, they elected to take a spot in my Beginning Photography Workshop this Saturday. I figured that since I won’t be able to get my Allie Cat fix, I better teach them how to use their Canon. (Ugh, yes, I said Canon. yuck. Just teasing.. kinda;) so that I can see lots of pics of my sweet girl! Yep, I’m TEACHING a class. It will be my very first. If all goes well, it won’t be the last!:)
Oh yea, I know that this is an unusually long-winded post from me. You can blame the cappuccino since I try to avoid caffeine. :p Do you like “seeing” my personality and the thoughts inside my ADD brain or would you rather I stick to short and sweet?? Do tell…:Dbawahaha! I think.

Did I ever tell you how much I love this blog? The humor in it gets me everytime! I must say i thought I was crazy too!

{ Meet Rosie }

When Mom scheduled Miss Rosie’s session, I was very apprehensive. It was going to be a night shoot. I use primarily natural light. Oh my goodness! How was I going to handle shooting with only studio lighting? Well, I think they turned out pretty well and my subject was an absolute doll! Her parents were as sweet as can be, too.:)Hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

{ Meet Weylin }

I had a blast with sweet Weylin. It has been a little while since I had a newbie fix.:)He was the perfect one to get me back in the swing of it. I do believe that it was overall the best session I’ve had in a long time. He was just picture perfect image after image. Thanks, Ashley, for bringing him and big brother over. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek. Slideshow will be up in the morning.;)

You did a fantastic job. I cannot pick a favorite. I love then all. Great pictures to treasure always.

{ Class of 2012 } Cole

The day I met Cole and his Mom, Amberlea, for his senior session, storm clouds were headed our way. I was really worried that we would get rained out. The weather played nice and we were able to get, in my opinion, some awesome shots! It was hard to narrow them down. I think that Cole is the most photogenic senior that I have ever shot. I also appreciate his patience since I was trying out a brand new lens. It only arrived as I was walking out the door to head to the session. I think it adds a bit of an edge. Most seniors want “something different.” Well, I think I have it now.;)I hope Mom and, most of all, Cole are pleased with the end results of our time!

If this were my boy, I’d get a second job, remortgage the house, ANYTHING to get ALL of these pics! The new lens….WOW!
