{ Simply Stunning }

Last month, I had the awesome opportunity to host my very first boudoir session marathon day. I rented a lovely hotel suite for privacy and comfort. My wonderful and talented friend, Jenna, fixed the girls up with gorgeous hair and makeup. My equally sweet friend, Kim, kept everything running smoothly by answering calls, refreshing drinks and snacks, and keeping us laughing with her great personality.
I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t nervous. This was a new adventure for me, as it was for the ladies. I made sure that we had privacy, music, and lighthearted conversation. To say that the images we produced that day were stunning would be an understatement. All of the ladies were so excited to surprise their honeys. From the feedback that I have received, I would say that the day was a success!

“Christy,
I just wanted you to know how much fun I had on Sunday. I was REALLY nervous about doing it, but I knew I would be in good hands with you. I’m so glad I did it and I’m now encouraging all my girlfriends to do it!:)
Thanks so much, Christy. You are awesome!!”

“OMG! This album is the BOMB!!! I love it!! Thank you so much for making me feel young again (and making me look it too!) I’ll never forget this!! Your awesome!!!!”

“I just got the album & I loooooooooove it! Thank you so much!”

“My hubby said I don’t have to get him another present for the rest of our lives, thanks to you!”

One of the girls said that she doesn’t feel like she is beautiful, but when she works with me, she feels beautiful because she knows that I think she is beautiful. I make her feel beautiful.

and from a happy hubby:)
“All I can say is WOW…I got my V-day gift a day early and I can’t thank you enough for taking the beautiful photos of my wife. So classy, elegant and sexy…definitely a wonderful “surprise”. Big fan of your work, you can borrow her for more anytime! Thanks again!”

I added all of these statements, not to pat myself on the back, but to show you how the girls felt after the session. Every single one of them was extremely nervous and quite a few of them are actually super shy. It shows that they had fun and if they can do it, so can you! I believe that every woman should do a shoot like this at least once in her life… just for herself! What woman doesn’t want to feel gorgeous?!?;)
I am tentatively planning another date for Saturday, March 19. There will only be 8 slots. If you are interested, just send me an email to cmspurlock@hotmail.com.

{ She has that glow }

I am not very experienced with maternity sessions, but I could learn to LOVE these! Beautiful Mama with a gorgeous pregnancy glow and a soft, setting sun, what more could you ask for?? I ♥ these images! I hope Mama and Daddy are just as pleased and had as much fun as I did during the session.:)

Nice job! My fave is the very last one of her sitting in profile. The lighting is perfection!

{ The River }

 Almost a month ago, I had a mentoring session with a young, “just-starting-out” aspiring photographer, Mallory. She wanted to watch me shoot a session and to see the interaction between me and my subjects. Well, I called up one of the sweetest, most photogenic families I know.:)They were kind enough to be our models on a very chilly day. I think we just may have captured a few shots that were even better than last year’s session. Maybe.;)Thank you, M family, for being good sports. I hope you love your pictures!

{ My Muse }

It’s no secret that Makenzie is probably my favorite model. Not only is she gorgeous with a great personality, but I’ve been friends with her Mom for a long time. (We won’t say just how long;) So, whenever I have an idea that I want to capture or a project that I’m working on, I know that they are ready and up for the challenge.;)You can see the my last session with her here.
I am working on a special project for a friend that I can’t show just yet, but I am finally getting around to blogging the other photos we took back in December. I love them all!  I promise to get this blog caught up… slowly, but surely.:)
