I met up with Anna’s lovely family at the beach last night. All day long, I was worried that the weather was not going to cooperate for us. Because it was raining off and on here, I kept checking the radar. It was starting to rain again when I left my house. The closer I got to the beach, the clearer the sky. ![]()
Once I made it to the beach house, I looked back over my shoulder. I didn’t know if we were going to have time before the rain reached us. Anna’s brother cracked me up as soon as I walked in the house. He had the radar pulled up on his cell phone. He held it out to me and said, “do you really think we can make it?” I told him that I thought we could if we hurried. So, we did. I think we did pretty well, too. The children were so very well behaved. We took lots of shots and the rain never showed up. yay! Here is your sneak peek, Anna!

“Other things may change us, but we start and end with family”
Monday, May 31st, 2010{ What a Beautiful Day }
Monday, May 31st, 2010“Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not envy. It does not boast. It is not proud. It is not rude. It is not self-seeking. It is not easily angered. It keeps no record of wrong doing. It does not delight in evil, but rejoices in the truth. It always protects, trusts, hopes, perseveres.” –1 Corinthians 13
As I looked out at the blue sky, all I could think of was the song, What a Beautiful Day, by Chris Cagle. It is an upbeat love song about meeting THE ONE and counting the day until you get married and beyond. Well, on Saturday, May 29, 2010, Patrick and Crystal did just that.
Back in March, I had the pleasure of capturing this young love during their engagement session. They were so sweet and just radiated with affection, kindness, and love for one another. It was refreshing to witness.
I was honored to be asked to be a part of their wedding in such a special way. I am a cousin of the groom. My wedding partner and, more importantly, friend, Kayse, is a cousin to the bride. So, this was her gig.
lol! I was the helper. Here are just a few of the wonderful images I was able to capture. As I edit the whole set, I’m sure I will be adding to my facebook page. Be sure to keep a lookout. With a wedding party this genetically gifted, you can’t help but to share.

{ Every Rose }
Thursday, May 27th, 2010Obviously, I am a country girl, (just look at my business name) but I am also an 80s hair band baby.
I missed this scene on American Idol last night. I saw it on the internet this morning and wanted to share. As a nurse, I know that it is nothing short of a miracle for Bret to be up on that stage performing. Not just this short amount of time since his “bleed,” but to be able to be doing what he loves at all is a gift given by God. To be alive right now, he beat the odds. To be performing, well, I wouldn’t have thought it possible a month ago. Enjoy!

Monday, May 24th, 2010I am very fortunate to live within driving distance of this GORGEOUS beach. I am even more fortunate to have a wonderful friend in need of family pictures that knows how to get to this beach.
It’s no secret that Jenna and Bobby are one of our favorite families. We always have fun when we get together. Last night was no exception. Just scroll down to see for yourself.

Saturday, May 22nd, 2010I really thought yesterday’s 2nd session was going to be rained out or soggy at best. When I talked to Rachel in the afternoon, it was still raining, but the sun was beginning to shine. Since it was a big family shoot and members had re-arranged their work schedules to participate, we decided to go for it anyway. The timing turned out to be perfect. Here are a few of my favorites. ![]()

Cooper turned one last month. Today, we had a play date to commemorate this milestone. He is such a cutie-pie and has a wonderful personality! Aren’t his HUGE, brown eyes gorgeous?!? Here is a tiny sneak for Mom and Dad to enjoy. Well, it’s not so tiny because I couldn’t pick out just a few favorites. :)
