{ Op-Love }

Friday, April 30th, 2010

Last Tuesday, I had my first OpLove session since becoming a volunteer several months ago. I was excited and a bit nervous. I don’t know why because I have worked with many families that I had never met before. But, this family was different for me. This is a military family. This is a “single” Mom raising her children the best she can while her husband is deployed in a foreign land protecting you and I. I CAN NOT imagine the life of a military wife (or husband.) I just can’t. I have the upmost respect for all service personnel and their families. I have two nephews that I am quite proud of serving our country. Anyone who follows my work knows my wonderful and talented friend Kayse. Her husband is active military, too. I get to hear just a little bit of what she has to deal with on a daily basis. I couldn’t do what they do. So, I volunteer for this organization to offer something special for the deployed spouse.

Back to the pictures… I had a very active session with Charity and her family at the waterfront. This was the most challenging session ever. Her little fella did not want to take pics. He wanted to explore everything and everywhere. Well, he is only 3 about to be 4. So, who could blame him?!? haha! I think we got some great images for Dad anyway :)

i {heart} faces- smiles

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

Well, here is my entry for the i {heart} faces weekly challenge. This week, the subject is smiles. This session jumped to memory. Not only was it the day I was able to meet and work with the gorgeous and talented Lyndsay, but we were able to get some amazing shots of Jade. WOW!

Yesterday’s second session had a couple things in common with the first… bubbles and ants. The bubbles were a HUGE hit. The ants, well, not so much. These girls are from the city. So, the farm was an entertaining adventure for them and for me. :D

{ Amy’s & Angie’s pick }

Saturday, April 24th, 2010

I am sooo excited! My collage of the gorgeous couple, Patrick & Crystal, was chosen as a favorite by Amy & Angie over at i {heart} faces.  Head on over to their website to check out all the other beautiful images!

{ Triple the Blessings }

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

I must admit that I was a bit anxious about this morning’s session with triplets.  I mean, I have two 3 year olds, but this would be three 2 year olds. :) I hadn’t been around them before, so I had no idea what to expect. Well, let me tell you, these babies were so sweet and so much fun. We ran. We fell down. We laughed. We blew bubbles. We sat in the swing. We stepped in ants. You get the picture. We were VERY active! I got a workout to go along with lots of adorable images. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek, Traci, because there are tons more coming your way!

{ i ♥ faces } weekly challenge

Monday, April 19th, 2010

I know the original post of this collage was with the e-session for Crystal and Patrick.  Because of all the wonderful comments, I decided to enter this collage into the i heart faces weekly challenge. I LOVE everything about it. The sweetness between these two is so obvious and refreshing to see. I look forward to their wedding next month!  P.S. For a peek at that session, click here :)

{ Johnna }

Saturday, April 10th, 2010

I had a quick session with Miss Johnna this morning before Tracer’s & Taylin’s ballgames. It was/is a beautiful day and the azaleas are blooming everywhere. So, we took advantage of that:) We also decided that we are going to have to make a trip to the beach sometime soon, too! Enjoy your sneak.

{ sweetness }

Thursday, April 8th, 2010

Oh my goodness! I L-O-V-E this newborn  sweetness! This precious, 9 day-old, sweet, baby girl came to visit for a few hours this morning. This session went smoother than normal because my bestest friend, Heather, was my assistant. With only a couple of “mishaps,” (don’t worry Dad, it will dry:) we were able to capture this innocence. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek. There will be lots more to follow!

{ Miss Photogenic }

Saturday, April 3rd, 2010

Congratulations to Miss Jaycee on her success in the Fresh Faces of Georgia pageant today.  She also won the most photogenic category with one of her images from our recent photosession. This makes 4/4 for Southern Expressions Photography photogenic entries:)
