Archive: ‘boys’

“”It’s double the giggles and double the grins…And double the trouble if you’re blessed with twins.”"

Monday, September 6th, 2010

Being the mother of twin boys, I KNOW that quote is very, very true! Mine are so sweet, but very rotten, too. ;) Yesterday, I finally got my wish to work with newborn twins. These little fellas are not quite newborns as they are almost 3 weeks old. Surprisingly, it wasn’t as challenging as I thought it would be. I was very blessed that they cooperated wonderfully. I was also blessed that I had help. Thank you to my BFF, Heather, and thank you to a great friend, Heather M., for sending the little ones my way!

My Saturday morning was spent chasing two little fellas other than my own. :) I had a session with the G family who drove all the way from Jax to spend some time on the farm. They had a blast and I got my workout on by playing tag, hide & seek, and peek-a-boo. While the smiles weren’t there in the beginning, they sure were big by the end! Here is a little peek at our morning.

{ Class of 2011 } Justin

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

To say that I had a blast last night with Justin and his Mom, Paula, would be an understatement! At times, I laughed until my sides hurt. We had beautiful (and some a bit creepy) locations to shoot Justin’s senior pictures. Only a few times did we get sidetracked by ticks, ants (the size of elephants,) private property signs, and ghosts. ;) All in all, I think the results were totally worth it! Here are just a tiny few that we managed to capture last night. Enjoy!

{ Family is LOVE }

Wednesday, August 11th, 2010

I had a session this morning with my sweet nieces and nephew. It was warm with a great breeze. I was surprised when all three said they had fun. except Emma admitted that she was ready to come home and play with my rugrats. :)
I can’t believe how much they have grown since last summer. They leave soon to go back home to Germany. (Dad is in the Air Force) We always miss them bunches! Hope you enjoy these images, Matt and Briana.

{ VAN }

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

I met up with the B family last night on the beautiful driftwood beach. It was a gorgeous evening with the most wonderful weather. This family is one of the sweetest I have ever met. It must run in the family because Mom is a cousin of the bride in my last wedding and she was a total sweetie, too. If you follow my blog, you will recognize little Van. He is a typical little fella in that he never. slows. down. Lol! But, he is such a cutie and smart, too.  Hope you enjoy the extended sneak peeks lately because here is another one. ;)

{ Watching them grow }

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

I know that this sneak peek is waaaaay late since I normally post the same day or the next, at the latest. I was on vacation at my Mother’s in Tn when I met up with Nikki and her beautiful family. They drove two hours to work with me again. I think we are gonna make it a yearly thing. That will be so exciting for me to watch the kids grow through the years. We chose another historical spot. I think it’s a cool learning experience for everyone. :) This particular day, the park had a re-enactment of the Civil War- the Union side of view. Pretty interesting even without me locking my keys in my vehicle. Thankfully, the local Sheriff’s office helped me out!
Here is your (late) sneak peek, Nikki! Hope you enjoy. I look forward to next year!

On a more serious business note, I have become overwhelmed with my business and my family. I am making changes, hopefully for the better. It used to take me 1 to 1.5 weeks to edit a session, sometimes less, and have the slideshow ready. Since having two large weddings back-to-back, I have been unable to catch up. I expected too much out of myself. I still gave to my family, but I wasn’t giving to me. I can’t go on like this. My sessions are now taking 2-3 weeks to complete. I understand that is still considered quickly by most of you, but it isn’t to me. I like to clean my slate. I will honor all of my current commitments, but will drastically cut down on the number of bookings I accept. Also, no more weddings for me. I know I shouldn’t say NO. One may come along that I just can’t refuse, but, for now, I am saying that I can direct you to some wonderful photogs that will be more than happy to help you out. :) I hope that you all understand. Thank you for your kindness, compliments, and encouragement. You all have made my business the success that I consider it to be.

{ Roman }

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

Last night, I had the pleasure of working with Deena and her son Roman. If you will remember, Roman is one of my Senior Reps. I HAVE TO share a snippet from the email Deena sent to me when I was looking for my reps. (She’s probably going to kill me:)

Christy,
Why not a male for your Ware High Representative? I know females are so-called photogenic but why not take on a challenge of a football/baseball/ford truck kind of guy!

Now, how on Earth could I pass up a challenge like that?!? I’m glad I didn’t! They have been an absolute pleasure to work with. The following is a longer than usual sneak peek, but I wanted to show that even though I normally have senior girls, I can work with the guys, too. Hope you enjoy!

{ Sweet Baby Deacon }

Monday, July 12th, 2010

Today has been a wonderful day so far! This morning, I got to meet and cuddle little Deacon. If you follow me on Facebook, you would know that I photographed Nellie and her boys for the much anticipated homecoming for Daddy. Well, that night, they welcomed baby Deacon. Yes, he waited for Daddy to get here and then decided it was his turn to make his appearance.

My best friend, Heather, was my wonderful assistant once again. It is such a blessing to have a helping hand with the newborns. We had fun, too! I hope you all enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed capturing them!

The storm held off for us last night to get Amy’s family pictures. It is always an adventure when you have children added in. :) I LOVE it!! Hope you enjoy your sneak peek. There are many more to come.

{ Welcome baby Wyatt }

Saturday, July 10th, 2010

 Yesterday, I went and visited with sweet, baby Wyatt, his adorable, big sister, and beautiful Mommy. Oh, he was so precious! The images we were after are very special. You see, this was another of my OpLove sessions. Daddy didn’t get to come home for the birth of his baby boy. :( So, it was my job to get some photographs of his wonderful family to surprise him. I think he will love them.
